The Battle of Hastings

There is one set presentation for this web-chat that has been tried and tested. The presentation has been designed for a KS2 audience. The presentation includes: the contention of the English throne, a brief look at The Battle of Stirling Bridge, William's preparations for invasion, the battle in detail, the aftermath of the battle and the result of a newly formed Norman England. The presentation last approx. 40 mins followed by a 20mins Q&A session.

About the presenter

Leigh is a former primary school teacher, who now owns Historic Workshops. Leigh and his team travel nationwide, providing in-school history workshops. He is a historian, specialising in the world wars, but also has an extensive knowledge of other areas of predominately English history.
